The Brunner Disaster.

llokitika, This Day. At the Snpreme Court this morning in the Brunner case -Tames Rooney was re-called and stated he had left the Brunner mine at the time the hands were shortened, and that since the disaster he had refused an offer of employment by the company. George Denson, miner, deposed that the ventilation in the Brunner mine was insufficient to cleat away the gas. Sometimes the gas blowers ignited the damp. Slack was used for tamping shots in the presence of"«the deputies. It was constomary to work with gas from the faces. Witness was afraid of the mine and others had told him they were also. He did not have any complaint against the management or consider the bad ventilation due to neglect. Edward Moore corroborated in the main the evidence t of the previous witness. Henry Rutledge and Henry Graham also gave evidence. Geoghan, the plain till", was being examined at the lunch adjournment.
