SPORTING NEWS.
TRAINING NOTES. [By Gitsv Grand.] A fair amount of useful work was performed this morning, some of the prads bowling along at a good bat. Day Star made his iir-t appearance this m morning, but was only trotted. The son of Castor is looking well, and will have to be reckoned with in the Cup. Huna. The Brook, and Watcrstone were associated in a strong mile and aquarter ; the daughter of Torpedo having the best of the finish. Prince Charlie. Petroline, and Stockdale pat in three rounds at slow pare. Forest Rose arid Popgun were restricted to slow pacing. Lotion and Haria galloped a fast mile and a-quarter, Haria was in the van at the finish. Straybird and Earshot finished the last t»ix furlongs of three rounds at racing pace, finishing together. Orion's Belt and Belford finished together at the end of a strong mile. Primula, Golden Plover, and Tire put in a sound mile and a half with light weights up. Plover finishing in front. Multiform ran away from St Conon in a six furlong spin. G. Hope put Heavenly Twin over the small fences. Forfarshire had the best of I'izzaro at the end of six furlongs. New Forest and Tally-ho put in sound work.
