A Mysterious Case.
+ [By Tklkgraph] [Special to Standard.] Wellington, This day. A body was taken out of Wellington harbor yesterday afternoon, aud turned out to be that of Madge Robertson, formerly engaged as barmaid in one of the city hotels. The circumstances connected with the case are of a peculiar character, as the deceased had only her underclothing on and the coat of an officer of a steamer. How she came into the water is shrouded in mystery. Some light may be thrown on the matter at the inquest which takes place to-day. Later. The coat found on the body of the woman Robertson has been identified by letters in the pocket as belonging to one of the officers of the Penguin. There is 110 suspicion of foul play at present as the woman attempted to drown herself 12 months ago, and it is believed she either wilfully threw herself in the water or fell in accidentally. She was noticed on Sunday to be in a depressed condition.
