Y.R.C. DERBY. Sydney, This day,

In its report 011 the Derby the Sydney Daily Telegraph says a worse exhibition of riding has seldom been seen on the part of so many jockeys holding good reputations. The nice was as good as over before Resolute tried to get up to Newhaven, and he was then too sore to make any impression on the Hying chestnut. Coil, The Officer, and Charge were handled as though Newhaven would come back to them, and it was not until the abattoirs had been passed that their riders realised their mistake and endeavored to rectify it, but then it was too late, their task at that stage being completely hopeless.
