Adelaide, Oct. 15. The Legislative Assembly resolved that the provisions of the State Advances Act be extended to allow advances to be made to other producers as well as farmers. Brisbane, Oct. 15. The Fremier moved that the consideration of the Council's federation message be postponed until the 27th inst. In doing so he said he wished to give time for calm deliberation on the question, and push forward other legislation which was of more importance than the Convention. After a lengthy discussion, during which much opposition was displayed, the motion was adopted. This day. It was freely rumored during the week that a large misappropriation of uust monies had been discovered in the Deceased Estates Department. It is stated £20,000 is missing and warrants have been issued against two persons. Melbourne, This day. The Marine enquiry into the wreck of the Bogang found that no one was to blame, as the steamer had apparently struck a flowing snag.
