AN ILLEGAL OPKPATION PERFORMED. London, August 6. Miss Florence Jane Huiidford, a recent arrival, having only left Melbourne in May last, died here on giving birth to twins. As the case was surrounded with suspicious circumstances an inquest was held, when the evidence showed that an illegal operation had been performed, and the jury returned a verdict of murder against some person or persons unknown.
