London, Jan. 26. Mr Chamberlain, speaking at Birmingham, stated that England without her coals would be only a fifth rate power. Lord Wolseley advocated conscription and sanitary measures for the benefit oi the military as a necessity in view of the present outlook. Pabis, Jan 26. The French journalists, who have received notice of the intention of the German Government to expel tHem from Berlin, are making a final appeal against their expulsion. General Boulanger denies that he aspires to a Dictatorship, and asserts that he will uphold the Republic.
Suxkin, Jan. 26. One hundred and fifty Russian colonists, who eluded the vigilance of both the Italian and French warships, landed at Tanjurah Bay.
