A Napier Bankrupt.

AN ACTION FOR PERJURY PENDING. ANOTHER NAPIER SENSATION. Nafieb, last night. At a recent meeting of creditors here in the bankrupt estate of F, D. Luckie commission agent, and Secretary of Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club, the debtor stated that one of the Causes of hie bankruptcy was embezzlements by his clerk, B. C, Ware, of £3IG. He said he had not prosecuted him for it, but it was his intention to do so. He made this statement on oath before Deputy Official Assignee, and Ware, the man accused, has now taken steps to clear his character, having to-day laid an information against Luckie. for having committal perjury on the occasion referred to. Messrs Cresswell and Cuff are takimg up the case for Ware. The affair ia likely to cause a great sensation.
