THE MISSING GUNBOAT,

A SEARCH MADE. IT IS FEARED SHE HAS FOUNDERED, London, Oct. 17. It is feared that the gunboat Wasp has met with some serious misfortune, as she has been overdue for some weeks past. The Admiralty despatched a vessel in search of the missing gunboat, but after a ong time spent in searching, the vessel returned to port, the captain reporting that he had neither seen or heard anything of the Wasp. The leading London journals have very stong articles commenting upon the dilatory manner in which the Admiralty have proseouted the search for the Weep, and they all express the opinion that any hopes for the safety of the vessel will in all probability terminate in disappointment.
