London, October 15. The Monte Christo and Morton mines at Cooldown have been sold to an English syndicate by Messrs Reid, Baird and Co. for the sum of £35,000.

The Qneenfort Brielc and Tile Company, Brisbane, with rt capital of £20,000, ,bas been registered by Heid and Bilird.

The land Company of Australasia will ba placed privately with a capital of £140,000. The directors .are Colonel Thyme, and Messrs Charles McLean, William Enkstein and Clem, liavenscroft.

Many enquiries ate being made as to the eondition-f on whieh farmers and others may settle on the Chaffey Bros? estate.
