THE IRISH QUESTION.

SIMULTANEOUS RESISTANCE PROPOSED. MORE BLOODSHED FEARED. GOVERNMENT DEFIED IN DUBLIN. Losdoh, September 26. Excitement continues in Ireland in connection with the proclamation of different districts, and meetings are being held privately m which all the leading members are taking part. Mr Parnell, Mr Dillon, and other Irish members of Parliament in the course of advice to the Irish people, urge them to adopt simultaneous resistance to the suppression by the Government of the branches of the Land League in the Counties Clare, Galway, Kerry, Cork, and Waterford, a« they consider such a course will so harass the Government that it will compel them to abandon the attempt at suppression under the impression that it is simply impossible to prevent the League holding sway in those districts. Jt iv.uK-ierstood that the Government have accepted the warning, and are determined to be prepared for any emergency. The people in these Counties are very pronounced in their support of the League branches as against the Government, but it is generally thought to be the result of fear to oppose the League. If the proposal is carried out it is believed there will be much trouble and probably bloodshed. At a meeting held in Dublin last week the Mayor of the City (Mr Gray) and other speakers defied the Government to suppress the Land League, The speeches were al 1 of a very radical tone, and the Government was strongly denounced.
