DRUIDISM.

A LARGELY attended meeting of the Turanganui Lodge of the United Ancient Order of Druids was held on Thursday evening. Delegates from the Brenan and Albion Lodges, Napier, were present, representing the District President on matters relating to the order, and also for the purpose of representing their Lodges at the Jubilee Ball. After the visitors had been received with Diuidical Honours, the Initiation Ceremony was proceeded with, and several new members were accepted. The motion to assist at the Jubilee festivities was not put, it being already decided that the members’ time would be fully occupied in preparing for the Ball, a reply to that effect having been already forwarded to the Jubilee Committee. Matters in connection with the Ball were then disposed of, and the Lodge was closed in due form by the A,D. Bro. J. T. Cassin.
