The Norweg’an Government’s onevote majority of 76 representatives in the 150 members of Parliament was at stake to-day when Norway went to the polls to elect a new Parliament.
The 1,700,000 Norwegians who are entitled to vote were expected to turn slightly towards fine Conservative and Liberal parties at tl'.e expense of the Christian People’s Party and the Government Labour Party. The Labour Party, however .predicted that they would gather stray votes from the Communists, who expected to suffer severe losses.

The headquarters of the Indian Communist Party in Bombay was raided to-day by squads of plainclothes police, who seized “objectionable literature.”
The Communist Party said that the police also . raided their textile and railways trade union offices, and three publishing plants.
