RUGBY LEAGUE AUSTRALIAN TEAM CONCLUDES TOUR WITH NINTH WIN

P.A. AUCKLAND, Oct 9. The Australian Rugby League team ended its tour of New Zealand today by defeating the hurriedly- assembled Auckland Colts Team by 30 points to 16. This was a special match, at Carlaw Park.

The Australians scored six tries and six goals to two tries and five goals. The attendance was about 3000. The Australians have played ten matches during their tour for nine wins, and one loss to New Zealand in the first test. They have scored 299 points, and had 123 scored against them. The Auckland colts took the field today without previous training, and in the circumstances... did about as well as coud be expected. The Australia;? performance looked great deal better than it actually was. Some of the backing up in the first spell was excellent. In the second, efforts hi came individual, and the game grew wearisome for want of good combination and well constructed play. Bulgin, J. N. Graves I. J. Johnson, Thomason, P. McMahon and Churchill scored Australias tries, and Johnson kicked all of the goals. Rogers and V. Barchard scored for the Auckland Colts, and white kicked five goals.
