The Daily Mail reported a statement by an > author Colm Brogan suggesting that secret sessions of Parliament were useless because secret supporters of the Communist Party among the Commoners would give Russia any defence information The committee ruled that the law of parliamentary privilege should not be administered to fetter or discourage the free expression of opinion o r criticism. It would be inconsisten' with the House’s dignitj 7 to examine fusther Mr Brogan’s staetement.
