John Schwerdt, of Angaston (South Australia), set what is thought to be a world’s record for tossing an 81b cheaf with a hay fork at the recent Royal Easter Show at Sydney. Schwerdt tossed the sheaf over a bar set at 54ft from the ground. This beat by one foot a previous Australian record held by John Schwerdt and his .brother, G. K. Schwerdt.
