Three thousand seven hundred tons of coal was, loaded into two colliers at Westport on Monday, this figure representing 2589 tons, including bunkers aboard the s.s. Karepo, and 1.1 J 1 aboard the s.s. Kakapo. The complete loading operation took only 12 hours 1 . The two vessels sailed yesterday for Auckland. The s.s. Totara sailed last night with timber for Wellington. The- s.s. Kaimiro is scheduled to arrive from Auckland to-morrow, and will load coal for return, and the Wingatui is expected from Wellington on Friday.
