(Rec. 9.35). WASHINGTON, March 20 The U.S. State Department has rejected a Yugoslav request for a share in a proposed appropriation of 350 million dollars for general foreign relief. The State Department has also turned down a joint YugoslavU.N.R.R.A. request for an allocation of American grain to Yugoslavia before May or June. The reasons given in both instances were the lack of acceptable evidence that Yugoslavia really needed such help, and the suspicion that the food already supplied has not been efficiently distributed.
