HOCKEY

CALCUTTA, January 25. The New Zealand Expeditionary Force hockey team now turing India has returned to Calcutta and will play the Bengal Hockey Association team this evening. So far the team has played nine games in the North-West Frontier province, the Punjab, and Assam. It has lost five and won four, Details are as follows: —Lost to Jhelum, 2-3; lost to Rawalpindi, 0-2; lost to Rawalpindi civilians, 2-11; lost to Pindi military and civilians combined, 0-2 (all in Punjab); beat Nowshera district, 3-0, beat Feshawar district, 2-1; lost to Landikotal, 1-2 (in North-West Frontier province); beat Assam Regiment, at Shillong, 3-1; beat 20 Area (Services team), 3-0.
