SUDETEN REFUGEES

LONDON, January 27. The first train Toad of Sudeten Germans to be transferred to Germany since the expulsion was suspended after the Potsdam Conference, left Marienbad to-day, en route for the American zone, says “The Times” correspondent in Czechoslovakia. The party consisted of 1209 persons, comprising 295 men, 700 women, and 214 children. They went in cattle trucks, 30 per truck. Each truck was heated by a stove. It is understood the Americans are finding them new homes. The majority of the refugees said they would rather go to Germany than stay in Czechoslovakia, where they did not see the prospect of a comfortable future.
