This will be when new Lockheed Constellation planes enter the domestic air service. The Constellations are the largest of land-based transports. They carry forty-eight passengers They will inaugurate schedules of ten hours from coast to coast o the United States. They also will make flights lasting from eleven to fourteen hours to Europe. The “Herald Tribune” reports that Royal Dutch air lines and the Royal Netherlands Indies Airways are noth negotiating for the purchase of new aircraft. The latter company is interested in the route between Java and San Francisco.
