Mrs. E. Creagh of Hokitika, leaves this morning for Wellington.

Mr E. R. Moss leaves to-day for Gisborne where he will judge the musical items at the competitions.

Mr G. G. M. Mitchell, District Manpower Officer, returned yesterday from Christchurch.

Mr William Clayton will be reelected to the Westland Land Board on September 17, being the only nominee.

Flight Sergeant T. K. Durie. R.N.Z.A.F., formerly of Runanga, has been reported missing on operations. He was serving with the R'.A.F. in England.

Yesterday’s list of New Zealand Second Expeditionary Force casualties included Private R. Sanders (Westport) as missing, and as wounded, Trooper Geo. N. Perkins (Westport) and Bombardier Edward H. Smith, of Blaketown.

Guests at Revington’s Hotel include the following: Mrs. E. Silva, Captain H Reenders (Dunedin), Mr. N. Peters (Christchurch), Mr. G. Lamb, Mrs. J. Barr, Miss D. Barr (Wellington), Major and Mrs. I. Menzies (Auckland).

Second Lieutenant James . Henry Cameron whose death in action 111 Italy was recorded in yesterday s puolication, was a son of Mrs. A. Cameron, of Murray Street, Greymouth. He was aged about 30 years, and had worked for some years at Miller's Warehouse, Mackay Street, though prior to his enlistment he had oeen working in Christchurch. He had been overseas for three years, having served throughout the Middle and Italian campaigns. Flis mother survives him, and two brothers, Huxtyl, of Reefton, and another who tor some years has been a prisoner ot war, and a sister, Mrs. G. Beynon or Greymouth.
