CROCODILES STAY !

(Rec. 1.15.) NEW YORK, May 17. A Los Angeles message said that Rear Admiral Cochrane disclosed that part of the cargo that an Axis ship carried off the African coast in the Autumn of 1942 consisted of a thousand medals destined for distribution as soon as the conquest of Egypt was completed. The medal -showed Italian and German soldiers pulling a crocodile from a river, symbolising the expulsion of the British from Egypt.
