(Our Own Correspondent; The Miners’ Agreement Conference, which has been held in Wellington, has been adjourned until May 10 to enable the owners’ representatives to be present. Miss Eileen Hill is at present m Wellington Hospital, after a lengthy service with the armed forces in the Middle East. Authorised collectors representing the Brunner Co-operative Society are calling on residents for share capital previously promised.* The friends of Jimmy Gordon, who worked at Dobson mine, will be pleased to know that he is at present in Wellington after three years’ service in the Middle East. A remarkable feature of a visit to Wellington is the number of West Coast people who have taken up residence there, Brunner being particularly well represented.
