:COBDEN ASSOCIATION MEETS. — . w In spite of cold conditions more than 80 residents were present at the monthly meeting of the Cobden Home and School Association held on Monday evening. Mr. F. Munn presided. The main business concerned the shop day, which is being held to-day in Mrs. Howat’s shop, Bright Street, the renovation of the hall, the source of wool for spinning, and the possibility of establishing a kindergarten in the Holland Settlement. It was decided to support the Winter Show and to invite the Blaketown Home and School Association to the next evening on June 5. After a play reading, a song by Mrs. Hamilton, a demonstration of spinning by senior pupils and supper, the evening concluded with dancing.
