AMERICAN ADVANCE. (Rec. 9.10.) SYDNEY, Feb. 25. On the Rai coast of New Guinea, Americans at Saidor have made a small advance across the Mot River. Among widespread Allied air artacks reported by the latest Southwest Pacific, communiques was a heavy bombing and strafing raid on the Madang area, New Guinea. An Airacobra ’plane surprised a group of about a hundred Japanese, near Bogadjim, inflicting casualties in a low-level sweep.
