NEARLY 100 FATALITIES ST. JOHNS (Newfoundland). . February 23. “Incendiary origin” was the verdict of Mr Justice Brian Bunfield, after his investigation of the fire in the Knights of Columbus Hostel here on December 13. in which one hundred persons, mostly servicemen, lost their lives. Judge Bunfield said h e believed, but he could not prove, that the blaze was caused deliberately.
