ORPHANAGE FIRE
37 Children Missing (Rec. 1.27 a.m.) DUBLIN, Feb. 24. Thirty-seven out of one hundred children (are missing after a fire
which at 2 a.m. this morning destroyed a female orphanage attached to the Convent of the Poor Clare Nuns in the town of Cavan. The fire spread to fierce proportions in a few minutes. Some of the children rushed screaming from the building in their nightclothes. Others jumped fort'vf feet from the windows. The children’s ages ranged • from four to,, eighteen years.
