Two cricket, fixtures have been played lately. Although losing on the first innings to Reefton, Nelson. Creek A wa s successful in winning the Pratt Cup. Last Sunday, in the opening fixture of the new competition, the Creek A team was at home to Waiuta secur. ing a two point win. Creek made 117, Waiuta 69 and' 8 for 50. Chief scorers for Creek were Gosling 32 and Ord 27. Mr Gib Dalziel left last week for Wellington. Miss Osmond-Smith of Christchurch, has taken up her duties as assistant at the local school.

Chopping enthusiasts are busily engaged in preparing themselves for the various events at the Creek Sports, on the- 13th' instant.
