SEDDON MEDALS
New Regulations
Recently the Advisory Committee of the' above fund decided that the regulations shou’d be amended. The n'ew regulations are as follows: — (a) Two gold medals of equal intrinsic value shall be provided each year, one for the most proficient girl and one for the most profic/ent boy in the Grey Educational District (old boundaries), (b) The medals shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Senior Inspector of Schools to the boy and the girl respectively who ha' sat for and, in the op won of the Inspector. has excelled in the Proficiency Examination (Form II) conducted by him at the various public schoo’s aw 1 registered private schools throughout the district. (c) A’l ch.’ldren under the age of thirteen years on the Ist day of December of the year in winch tlie examination is held, and not T>r viously having been successful, shall lie el’igibjei for the Seddon Memoria 1 Medal 1 . (d) The names and ages of intending competitors' must be forwarded to th© District Public 't’rn--tee: at Greymouth not later than tho 30th October in each year. (e) No medal shall be awarded before satisfactory proof of age has bcem furnished.
