BRUNNER NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) Wallsend mine worked four shifts last week, also four«fhe previous week, whilst Dobson miuu worked live shifts last week. Royce Kerr, aged 9 years, youngest sun of Airs E. Kerr. Taylorville, whilst playing with other children in an old tank on Friday afternoon, sustained a badlv cut knee, which necessitated several stitches by Dr. E. C. Brown. In the Wallsend Hall on Saturday evening, a concert was given by the Brunner Concert Party in aid of the Dental Clinic funds. Despite wet weather, a large crowd attended, and made it a success. Before concluding the concert, Air T. Smithers, on behalf of the Dental Clinic Committee, thanked Aliss YVatson and the concert party and all who had helped to make the concert such a success, also the audience for their attendance and the appreciative way they had received each item. Mr Smithers said the result of the concert was very gratifying lo the Committee which would enable the children from Dobson, Taylorville and Stillwater Schools to be treated free next year at the Dental Clinic, except those joining up for the first time and the fee was ss; also children attaining the age of three years are treated from then on to the’ fourth Standard. A short and enjoyable dance was held after the concert. Afiss Watson supplied the music, assisted by the Stringed Orchestra, comprising Alisses MeNish and B. G. Rodgers and Alessrs McNeish and R.
