WEDDING
BARBER—BONNINGTON. A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, Merivale, oa Tuesday, of Ethel, second daughter of the late Air and Alr s George Bon-ning'-on, to Robert Fountain (formerly of the P. and T. stall. Greynmu(h), eldest son of the laite Air Fountain Barber and of Airs Fountain Barber, Sumner. Mr A. Worsley played the wedding music’. Canon Staples Hamilton officiated. Ci'eam lafTeta and net had been effectively combined for the bride's frock, taffeta maple leaves being appliqued on a net foundation, the bodice having long fitting sleeves of net. The skirt was flounced from the kneeline, and the .waistline was finished with a diamante girdle. A .coronet of orange blossom ami pale grecu leaves hold to tin' head het filmy veil of cut title,, and slut carried a sheaf of Easter lilies. Air Roland Boiiiiington escorted his sister, who was attended bv Aliss Beryl Jtoiinington, her sister, as bridesmaid, wearing pale pink amt blue tulle moun'ted on pink tafl’eta, and 'trimmed with inched bands of tulle. Her head bandeau wa.s compos ed of pink and blue flowers to match the hothouse flowers which were ar ranged with fern in her bouquet. Air 11. R. Lake was best man. After the ceremony tlhe guests were enertained at, the New City Hotel. The bride travelled in a frock of powder blue marocain trimmed with blue ibuffnns, a navy halo hat with po.wder blue trimmings and a mole .fur coati. Air and Airs Fountain Barbar’s home will be in Wanganui.
