(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, May 15. The Conciliation Council, which yesterday discussed the dispute between* Hie Miners’ Union and the Blackwater Mines, Ltd., adjourned the negotiations until May 31. The weather of yesterday and today has been particularly mild and pleasant, compared with the previous days, when it was very cold after a heavy frosC"each morning. There was a good attendance at the Cronadun Football Club ’g forty-fives tournament held at the Bandroom last evening, and a most enjoyable time was spent by all. The games resulted in Mr T. Sullivan securing first Mr J. Goodyer the second. The supper served was excellent. At the Rugby League Sub-Centre meeting fixtures were made as follows for the week-end: Senior —Reefton v. Nelson Creek at Nelson Creek, 2.45 (M. O’Brien); Waiuta v. Waratah at Waiuta. 2.45 (J. Letham); Ahaura a bye. Junior—Waratah v. Mawheraiti, at Mawheraiti, 2 p.m. (B. Topp); Reef ton v. Waiuta at Reef ton, 2.45. A meeting of the Committee of the Boxing Association was held on Monday. The Secretary’s reply to Marlborough Association ’.s letter re expenses was approved. A statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the recent tournament disclosed, a loss of £7 10s 7d. The accounts were passed for payment. The Secretary (Mr J. Dellaea) intimated that 1 he would not be seeking re-elec-tion at the annual meeting in June. It was resolved that a vote of thanks to M"’’ Dellaea for his erood work be recorded on the minutes, the President expressing the appreciation of the Association for all the assistance rendered, and congratulating him on the very capable manner in which he had discharged his duties.
