ROY SUICIDES
WHEN HUNTED BY POLICE. SYDNEY. March 21. After being pursued by the police at Broken Hill for more than five miles, Bertram O’Sullivan shot himself dead. It is alleged that the boy took money from his father’s home and bought a rille. The father chased him for some distance, -but desisted when the son turned and fired at him. "Two policemen, after pursuing the boy across country, fired a shot in the air to frighten him. It is alleged the boy took refuge behind bushes and fired nt the police. One constable circled round behind O’Sullivan, who thereupon shot himself through the temple.
