LONDON, March 13. The late Mr Southern was attending the Ferret Cricket Club’s dinner held at the Oval, and not the Surrey Club’s dinner. He had been recently in poor health, but was cheerful. During the dinner he proposed the toast of “Cricket.” x /When he sat down he was apparently unwell. He was carried to an anteroom, where he died before the arrival of doctors.
