N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP. THE FINALISTS. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, October 4. As the result of to-day’s play in the New Zealand Amateur Billiards Championship, the final, of 1500 up, will be contested by A. Albertson (Lyttelton) and IT. AlcLeau (Christchurch). This afternoon McLean accounted for A. F. Vidal (Milton), after an interesting arid at limes exciting game, and at night Albertson, who is the present champion, proved too good for A. Duncan, of Wellington, who showed nothing like his form of the previous evening. Results were: — AlcLimn 66(i beat Vidal 524.—A1eLean’s best breaks Svere 62 and 50; and Vidal’s a 50. Albertson 666 beat Dunean 542.— Albertson’s best breaks were 43 and 32; and Dunean’s were GO and 30.
