In the second round of the Pacific Coast Championships at Berkeley, California, Perry advanced when Robert Brady defaulted. In the fir st round of the women’s singles. Miss Nuthall defeated Miss Elsie Gable (San Francisco) 6/4, 7/5. Tn the second round Miss Stammers defeated Miss Claire Buckler 6/1, 6/1. Menzel sprained his ankle practising for the men’s doubles. It is expected he will be unable to play for several weeks.
