Motoring home early in the morning from the “Hobart Mercury” news paper, four journalists collided with a motor lorry. One of them. Jack Judd, aged 30 years, was killed. Roy Kearney aged 41 years, sustained a compound fracture of the skuH. His ‘condition is critical. A third, Lloyd Morgan, ag’d 24 years, fractured his knee cap, while Leonard Harback sustained facial injuries.
