WALKER DEFEATS KARASICK. AUCKLAND, September 20. Hundreds w re turned away from the Town Hall to-night when George Walker defeated Al Karasick in a return match. Walker gained the only fall in the sixth round, a jack-knife hold. The bout was very lively. DETTON V. MONTANA. CHRISTCHURCH. September 20. In the brightest bout of the Christchurch wrestling season Dean Detton heat Bull Montana by two falls to one at the Civic Theatre. The pair produced all their tricks and gave the larg. attendance an hour in which there was no dull moment. Almowt from the start it was apparent that Detton was the stronger and faster man, but th.' o’der Montana knew the ropes (in both senses) and from timo to time caused the other anxious moments.
