FRENCH ELECTIONS
Eighty-one Candidates FOR ONE CONSTITUENCY. (Ans. A N.Z. Cable Assn). (Received April 27 at 8.45 p.m.) PARIS, April 27. The French electors like plenty of candidates for their general election, but eighty-one for one constituency is believed to be a record. This is the number of candidates that confronts the yoters at St. Giron’s next Sunday. The average number of candidates per constituency in the Paris suburbs is thirteen. Altogether there ar e 3617 candidates for 615 seats, as comp'ared with 3735 candidates in 1928.
