URGENT MEASURES. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, April 27. In the House to-night, a Bill for enabling local body ratepayers who are behind with their rates to vote at local body elections and also to stand for Councils, was introduced in the House. Urgency was accorded all stages of the Bill. Urgency was also accorded the first reading of the Trade Treaty Ratification Bill. The receipt of amendments to the National Expenditure Adjustment Bill relating to interest reductions was also accorded urgency.
