ROSS LIME WORKS.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Would you please grant no space in your valuable paper to express disapproval in the action of the management of -he Lime- Works. , A vacancy occurred on the staff employed at the works, and a man with no dependents and only a few days’ residence in Ross was engaged for the position, while here we have a large number of men on relief works, some of whom are married mon with families and not in the best of circumstances. I am sure no person wishes to see the works anything but a si.ccoss, and an asset to the farmers and the town. T n return for the he-Ip received from the people here, who worked arduously to help the Company to reach the high standard that it already has attained, some return should be expected from the Directors, and that they shall employ local men whenever the opportunty offers.—l am .etc., INTERESTED, Hoss, AtigflSt 10th, 1931,
