KUMARA NOTES

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A nasty accident happened -to Jacky, the little son of Mr and Mrs A. G. Wood. He fell off a fenced breaking his leg above the ankle. He was attended to by Dr Booth, and is now progressing favourably. Mr C. Fitzgerald met with a painful accident while inspecting some bridge work for the Public Works Department, giving his leg a severe sprain. He has been compelled to rest at home for a while. Mr and Mrs J. Brayshaw, who have been visiting th e North Island, have returned to Kumara. Mrs H. Jones and her daughter, Mrs Walker, former residents of Dillmanstown, but now residing at Palmerston North, have been spending a few days in Kumara, looking up old friends.
