“Man of the Forest” deals with the romantic adventures of Holt as a rancher, a lone hand at th c cattle game in the high country. Because of the mystery surrounding him, he is known as the “man of the forest”. Romance enters his life when h e learns Oland h.Gp>es. to gain possession of the ranch of Miss Hale’s unde, his friend and neighbour. Holt kidnaps her when she comes to her uncle death-bed, thwarting Gland’s plan of abduction. Believing Holt her enemy, Miss Hale escapes and has him jailed Oland, who takes possession following her uncle’s death, influences Georgia against Holt, but when she learns that Oland is plotting for the ranch, she denounces him. The plotter’s ruses ai> turned to naught.
