N.Z. PICKS IT UP. GISBORNE, July 19. A Christchurch message claimed that a wireless amateur logged the new station, 'Tomsk University, Siberia, for Ihe first time on Saturday, morning This station has been holding communication with Ivan O’Meara, of Gisborne, for some months past. Mr O Meara has received correspondence and photographs from the Russian operator, acknowledging the record then established. Mr O’Meara’s conimunicacation with Tomsk was announced throughout the New Zealand Press and the leading wireless journals some months ago.
