BOWLS

SYDNEY, August 10. As the English bowlers are coming out at the invitation of the Australian Bowling Council, no little surprise and disappointment has been caused in bowling circles that a provisional programme has been drawn up allotting only two and three clays each to Westralia and South Australia, about a. week each to New South W’ales and Victoria, and nine weeks to New Zealand. It is expected that the visitors will be met by representatives of the Bo'wling Council in Fremantle, with a view to arranging another programme.
