WEEK-END ACCIDENTS. MOTOR-CARS COLLIDE. (jrer Press Association.) •fEILDING, June 9. Feilding had a bad week-end in the way of motor-car accidents. On Fridaj evening, E. G. Stapp, the local Postmaster, while walking along the street, was struck by a car coming behind and carried or knocked some twenty feet. He sustained no broken bones, but was very much bruised, and will be laid up for some days. On Saturday night, a telegraph messenger, named R. J. Christofferson. was much more seriously injured. While riding to work he was knocked down by a carj but when picked up he was unconscious. It was found that his skull was fractured, his ear torn oif. and other injuries were sustained by him. He was. taken to tfie Palmerston North Hospital. The latest advice 19 that he is still in a dangerous condi tion. He is the eldest son of a widowed mother.
Tn another accident two cars met head on while travelling along Awnhurl Road. The cars were damaged but the occupants were unhurt. Two ladies driving a gig along the road collided with the wrecked .cars, but again no one was Hurt.
