GREY RIVER HOSPITAL.
The annual meeting of contributor* to the Grey River Hospital was held at the Public Hall last evening. There was a very sparse attendance. Mr A. M'Kay was voted to the chair. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed . The hon secretary then read the annual report, which waß adopted ; and in the absence of the hon treasurer, who was attending to his duties in the borough council, read the balar.ee sheet and Btstement of liabilities and asset] (which will be found in another place). Mr Arnott pointed out that as the balance sheet was made up to the 31st December, 1891, it did Hot include the town subscript iona collected this week, whioh would amount to another LIOO. Altogether he thought the Btate of affairs a most satisfactory one. Received and adopted. The medical officer's report was adopted. The hon secretary pr* posed a hearty vota of thanks to the local committees, eulogising their efforts on behalf of the institution as of a most hearty and disinterested character. Seconded by Mr Dapre and carried unanimously. Votes of thanks were accorded the medical officer, superintendent and staff, Dr Acheson, honorary physician, and the hon secretary and hon treasurer. Mr Nancarrow was re-electad trustee, and returned thanks. It was resolved that the report and balance sheet ba published as usual. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the proceedings.
