DUNEDIN RACES. [By Telegraph.] Dunedin, November 30. About four thousand people are present at the races. The weather is dull but fine. Maiden Plate, of 40 sovs. One mile and a half. Lima 1 Sappho 2 Two started. Betting—3 to 2on Lima. Lima led all the way and won easily. This was a very hollow affair. St. Andrew’s Handicap, of 100 sovs, and a sweep of 3 sovs added. Unknown 1 Cloth of Gold 2 Oberon 3 Chancellor was scratched. Betting—3 to 1 Unknown, 3to 2 Oberon, 3 to 1 Cloth of G old.

Unknown won pretty easily by two lengths. Cloth of Gold made a rush on the post, securing second place by alength. Time —3min. 52 J }secs.

A protest has been made against Oberon by Unknown’s rider for jostling. The stewards are sitting now.
