Mills returned last Aveek-end from a lengthy holiday in Australia. .Mr and Mrs. J. Harr;. Paha, are holidaying in Auckland. Miss M. A. Burgess has returned from her annual lea a-a. Mr. R. M. King has returned from a trip to Hamilton. The sad iacavs of the passing of the Into Mrs. Hope Avas received Avith regret by a wide circle of ifiends in To Ivaraka Avhene she had lived for some years Avith her daughter. Mrs. S. Smithers. Mrs. Hope was born 74 years ngo at Gateshead, England, but for many years had lh'ed in Australia at Bulli. where he:- husband was' manager of the Bulli mines. In 1914, Mr and Mrs. Hope came to Nciv Zealand, settling at Ptikahu. where they continued to live until Mr. Hope’s death. Sympathy is expressed to Mrs. Hope’s relatives: Mrs. S. Smithers, Te Karaka, Messrs William Hope, Ormond, Charles Hope, Sydney, J. E. Hope, Twyford. and E. Hope, Bulli. Australia PIjIIA hall meeting. Officers have been elected as under. President, Mr. R. D. Dymock; vicepresidents, Messrs. J, 11. Marshall and A. E. Mulholland; lion, treasurer, Mr. G. R. Sefton; committee, Messrs. J. McGregor, G. Askeiv, J. E. Nicholh, G. Paton and McK. Campbell.
